    Notes:

    Arrived on the Mayflower Nov 21, 1620 and established Plymouth, Massachusetts. With Miles Standish he founded Duxbury, Massachusetts in 1631. He had 11 childrenof whom descendants included Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, William Cullen Bryant, John Quincy Adams, and Charles Francis Adams. He was reportedly the first to set foot on Plymouth. Him and his wife both are buried in Myles Standish Burial Ground in Duxbury.
