Notes - Willliam was a pioneer newspaper man in north central Montana. He was somewhat crippled by polio as a youngster. He was a school teacher at one time, then came to Montana as a cowboy, but because of his handicap gave it up to go into the newspaper business. He was associated with several newspapers from Shelby to Harve, Montana, and retired as the owner-publisher of the Dutton Sentinel (Montana). He was a great old guy and played a mighty good hoe-down fiddle.
