      F. S. Clark enlisted as a private in the Union Army on 29 Feb 1864 (it was a leap year), in Co D, 188th Inf PA. He received a disability discharge from Co D 188th on 30 Mar 1865; his father applied for a disability pension on Francis' behalf in November of that year.
